Lake Como

The day after Bergamo, Erica and me took another day trip to Lake Como (Which was our original plan for the week). We got on an early train and went to the Lake. Lake Como is part of a larger group of lakes that is about 45 minutes north of Milan. It is an absolutely beautiful place and has a bunch of little cities along its shores. A lot of celebrities, such as George Clooney, have houses here. It really is an amazing place, however, we did not have the best weather. It wasn't terrible, but it could have been better haha. Anyway, we got there a little later than we had planned and ran right to the ferry which would take us to the city Bellagio, we get on the ferry, and to our surprise, it was 2 and a half hours long. We thought it would be 45 minutes at the most, oops. So unfortunately when we got to Bellagio we only had about 45 minutes to walk around until we had to go back. The good part about it however, was the the ferry ride was amazing. Just being on the water and seeing all these cities go up these beautiful mountains, it was really breathtaking. When we got to Bellagio we took a quick tour of the city got some amazing hot chocolate and Erica bought a scarf. We then took a ferry back to the main part of the lake. Halfway through the ferry ride, we get a text saying that the metro and tram employees of Milan are on strike until 10. Italy is good at doing that at random times. So we were like ok, well, more time in Lake Como! So we walked around some more and had a really nice dinner and then finally caught the train back when we knew we would miss the strike. Lake Como was a really great place, and one i would love to go back to when the sun is shining a little more. =)
